Congratulations Southern Wesleyan University the 2013 NCCAA Men's Soccer Division I National Champions! The Warriors defeated Lee University 1-0 for the 2013 Title. Southern Wesleyan's junior midfielder Joao Oliveira scored the lone goal in the final to give the Warriors the lead in the first half that held for the remainder of the match. Lee University receives second place and both Spring Arbor University and Fresno Pacific University receive third place in the 2013 National Championship.
Southern Wesleyan entering the championship as the #7 seed became the #1 seed in the Final Four coming out of Pool C. The Warriors defeated Campbellsville University 2-1 and Houghton College 2-1 in pool play. SWU faced the #4 seed Spring Arbor in the semifinals and came out with another 2-1 victory to secure their spot in the Finals.
Awarded the 2013 Most Outstanding Player of the Championship was senior forward Douglas Andrade from Southern Wesleyan University. The 2013 Most Outstanding Defensive Player of the Championship was sophomore defender Gabe Franco from Lee University. The 2013 Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the Championship was junior forward Bruno Liozzi from Southern Wesleyan University.
The 2013 NISOA Sportsmanship Award of the Championship went to the runner's up Lee University.
