Senior Tyler Spoon went 7-for-13 (.538) in this weekend’s 4 game series with Ecclesia College. The Yukon, Oklahoma native had 2 doubles, a triple, and a grand-slam homerun. Spoon scored 4 runs and had 11 RBI. He also had 6 putouts in right field, along with 1 assist.

Josh Rahn, a junior from Schaumburg, Illinois, improved to 2-1 overall with the 4-3 victory over NAIA No. 16 Clarke University. Rahn pitched 8.2 innings allowing just 2 earned runs on 5 hits. Rahn produced 9 strikeouts and held his ERA to a team low 2.88 on the season.

Sophomore Morgan Arbogast helped the Yellow Jackets win 3 games in their 4 game sweep of Malone University. The Troy, Ohio native picked up a win in both of her starts, as she struck-out 10 batters and did not allow an earned run. Arbogast then earned a save in Cedarville’s 7-6 win to secure the sweep. On the week, Arbogast had a 0.54 ERA, 11 strikeouts, and allowed just 1 earned run.

Tyler Schingle, a junior from Walls, Mississippi, led the Blazers with a 221 (77, 69, 75) at the Buccaneer Spring Classic, hosted by Christian Brothers University. Schingle finished the second round 1 under par with a 69, which is the lowest score this season for the Blazers. He had 33 pars out of the 54 total holes, good for fifth-best in the tournament. Schingle missed the winner of the tournament by 7 strokes in a field that included schools from NCAA DII, DIII, and NAIA.

Brett Baumgartner, Bethel College
Brett Baumgartner had a strong showing at the Indiana Wesleyan University Polar Bear Outdoor Invite, picking up 3 first place finishes, headlined by hitting the NAIA standard in the 200m with a time of 21.40. This time is tied at No. 1 in the NCCAA this season. The senior from New Paris, Indiana finished the 100m in a time of 10.75 which ranks No. 3 in the NCCAA. Baumgartner also ran on the 4x100m relay team that finished in 42.01, ranking No. 1 in the NCCAA.

Freshman Hayden Ashley took first in the decathlon at the Oklahoma Baptist University Invitational while posting the highest point total (6539) in the NCCAA this season. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native met the provisional standard for the NCAA DII National Championship with his total. Ashley won 4 of the 10 events in the decathlon, meeting the NCCAA qualifying standard in 4 events and posting 3 top-10 marks in the nation in separate events.

Leah Molter, a sophomore from La Mesa, California, swept the hurdles events at the Oklahoma Baptist University Invitational, taking the NCCAA’s fastest time in the 400m hurdles (1:03.57) and the second-fastest 100m hurdles time (14.46) only trailing her own time of 14.20 from a week prior. Molter also had a top-20 time in the 100m with a time of 12.82.

Raigan Servati had a strong performance at the Oklahoma Baptist University Invitational. The freshman from Van Alstyne, Texas reached a height of 1.55m in the high jump, good enough for the No. 2 height in the NCCAA this season. Servati also competed in the heptathlon, earning 7th place and the No. 3 spot in the NCCAA with 3672 points.

Freshman Matias Le Fort went 3-0 in doubles play, with matches against Southwestern Christian University (8-2) and Oklahoma Wesleyan University (8-2) at No. 2 doubles and against Midwestern State University (8-4) at No. 3. The native of Santiago, Chile won his No. 5 singles match against Northwest Missouri State University (2-6, 6-1, 10-6) and his No. 3 singles match against Southwestern Christian University (6-2, 6-0), while he dropped his No. 4 match against Midwestern State University (3-6, 3-6). Northwest Missouri State University is NCAA DII No. 18 and Midwestern State University is No. 21.

Rouxanne Janse Van Rensburg, a freshman from Cape Town, South Africa, went 2-0 at No. 1 singles and 1-1 at No. 1 doubles. Janse Van Rensburg defeated her singles opponents from Northwest Missouri State University 6-1, 6-2 and from NCAA DII No. 12 Midwestern State University 7-6, 6-3. In doubles play, Janse Van Rensburg and her partner defeated Northwest Missouri State University 8-0 while falling to Midwestern State University 6-8.
