Shea Coats, sophomore pitcher from Tuttle, OK, threw shutouts against two 2014 NCAA Division II tournament teams and recorded two saves in the St. Mary's Tournament, making the all-tournament team. She blanked Texas Woman's 3-0 on three hits, then came on later that day to record the save in a 4-0 win against a Texas A&M-Commerce team that already had won 10 games this season, breaking OC's career saves record in the process. She picked up a second save in an 8-7 win over Tarleton State, then shut out D-2 No. 13-ranked Central Oklahoma on four hits in a 1-0 win. During the tournament, she also recorded a hit in first collegiate at-bat. Coats has 15 strikeouts, allowed 9 hits, and no runs in her 17 2/3 innings on the mound for Oklahoma Christian last week.
