Anna Grace Govero, freshman from Clinton, MS, was named the Field Athlete of the Meet at the NCCAA Indoor National Championships. Govero won the Pentathlon on Friday night with victories in three of the five events and a total of 3,127 points. In the 55m hurdles she got second with a time of 8.70. In the high jump she got 1st with a 1.60m jump. She got first in the Shot Put, throwing 8.80m. She placed first in the long jump, jumping 4.99m. She placed 5th in the 800m run with a time of 2:42.26. She also finished 4th in the 55m Hurdles (8.61) and helped lead the 4x400m Relay Team (Kiana Grant, Alex Buchanan and Tierra Williams) to an 8th-place finish (4:12.87). She helped the 4x200m relay team finish 7th with a time of (1:49.25). Govero also scored points in the High Jump (1.62m) with a 2nd-place finish.
