Nico Gercke, sophomore midfielder from Oakland City University, helped The Oakland City Mighty Oaks to a new program high by earning its 10th regular season win for the first time in program history. Nico had a four goal output in a 5 - 2 victory over Brescia University on Tuesday (10/16) to help OCU tie the program record at nine regular season wins. Then against Cincinnati Christian on Saturday (10/20) he scored two goals in a 4 - 0 victory for the teams tenth and record setting regular season win total. Unfortunately the Mighty Oaks were not able to complete the trifecta this week as they were defeated, the following day, Sunday (10/21) by Findlay University 2 - 1. Nico finished the week with a 2 goal per game average while helping OCU towards a record breaking regular season.
