Natalie Newell, senior pitcher from Goshen, IN, led the Bethel College Pilots during their spring break trip with 26 strike outs over a four game stretch including 9 k's against Point Park and 11 against Bellevue. Newell also dialed up to shutouts for BC brining her career total to 24 total shutouts, just one away from tying a program record. Newell left Florida with an ERA of 1.22. To help the Bethel cause, Newell offensively added 10 hits, 9 RBIs and 7 runs during their first eight contests for a batting average of .400.
