Landon Huslig, freshman from Edmond, OK, ran his first-ever collegiate outdoor meet at the Southwestern Invitational in Winfield, Kan for Oklahoma Christian. Huslig won one event, placed in the top four in three others and posted NCCAA national qualifying times in all four. Three of those qualifying times ranked him No. 1 in the NCCAA and the other ranked him second. He won the 400-meter hurdles in 53.95 seconds and took third in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.26, both against fields that included competitors from top NCAA Division II, NAIA and junior-college squads in the region. He also ran a leg on OC's 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relay teams, with the latter (with Huslig anchoring) finishing as the top squad from a four-year school in the race.
