Joshua Pieper, junior first base from Park Forest, IL, helped Trinity Christian College to four wins for the week, including two over Olivet Nazarene University, a team receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches Poll. In the four games Pieper hit .714 with 10 hits, including two doubles and a home run, in 14 at bats. He also had 13 RBIs for the week, a 1.071 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base percentage. In the 20-8 win over Trinity International he was 4-of-4 and had 7 RBIs. His three-run homer in the 5th inning allowed the team to go ahead by more than 10 runs and to end the game on the mercy rule. In the addition, Pieper had two stolen bases for the week. Playing first base, he had a 1.000 field percentage with 37 putouts and 5 assists.
