Spencer Goebel, junior pitcher from Belmont, MI, was 2-0 in two starts last week for Spring Arbor University tossing a complete game in both outings, including a 3-0 shutout of Saint Francis. In his first outing, he allowed just one run on three hits while striking out six in SAU's 3-1 win over Taylor. He followed that performance with his second complete game shutout of the season when he faced USF. Goebel gave up just three hits and fanned a career-high 11 batters. For the week Goebel collected 17 K’s, allowed 6 hits and 1 earned run, with a .640 ERA.
