Shea Coats, sophomore pitcher from Tuttle, OK, led Oklahoma Christian to its first-ever series win over Heartland Conference-leading Lubbock Christian, allowing LCU a total of eight hits and one run while pitching two complete games. Her shutout in the decisive game of the series, a 4-0 win by OC, marked the first time LCU had been held scoreless all season. Earlier in the week, Coats pitched the Lady Eagles to a 7-2 win over longtime NCAA Division II power Midwestern State. For the week Coats racked up 27 strikeouts in 21 innings with only 13 hits and 3 runs scored. She ends the week with an ERA of 1.00.
