Chris Wegrzyn, senior third baseman from Jackson, MI, helped lead Spring Arbor to a 5-2 record last week. He posted a .526 batting average (10-for-19), slugged .579, scored 8 runs, stole 4 bases and drove in 3. Twice he went a perfect 3-for-3 in games against Grace and scored three runs in the 11-2 victory over the Lancers. The senior third baseman is hitting .304 on the season, which ranks second on the team. He is also second on the team in runs scored (22) and third in hits (31). He has stolen a team-high 10 bases and has drawn a team-best 21 walks.
