McKenzie Stanford, freshman from Perkins, OK, tied an 8-year-old Oklahoma Christian record in the high jump, leaping 5 feet, 8 inches (1.73 meters) at the Southwestern Relays in Winfield, Kan. Her previous career-best had been 5-6. She is ranked second in the NCCAA in the event and figures to be one of the contenders for the national title at this week's NCCAA Championships.
