Katie Ostlund, senior from Mount Hope, KS, ended a standout career by winning the NCCAA javelin title for the second time in three years with a throw of 136 feet, 1 1/4 inches (41.49 meters). The only competitor at the NCCAA Outdoor Championships who finished within 15 feet of Ostlund was her younger sister, Miranda. Katie Ostlund is one of only three individual event national champions in Oklahoma Christian women's track and field history and is a four-time All-American in the javelin (NAIA 2012, NCCAA 2013-2015) as well as the school's record-holder in the event.
