Anna Grace Govero, freshman from Clinton, MS, helped lead the Mississippi College Lady Choctaws to a school record in the 4x400m Relay at the NCCAA Outdoor Championships, tallying a time of 3:58.61. She also picked up four points in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.17. Govero won her 2nd NCCAA national championship in three months with a victory in the Heptathlon at the outdoor championships. In February, Govero won the NCCAA Pentathlon at the indoor championships in Cedarville, Ohio. She scored 4,518 points, winning High Jump (1.65m), Shot Put (9.51m) and the Javelin (29.23m). Govero finished 2nd in the 200m Dash (26.57), 100m Hurdles (15.37) and the Long Jump (5.18m). She wrapped up the title with a 3rd-place finish in the 800m Run (2:36.44). Govero also took home All-American honors with a 3rd-place finish in the High Jump (1.62m).
