Alex Shipley, junior pitcher from Brownsburg, IN, posted a 1.47 ERA in three postseason games for Grace College. Her highlight of the week was throwing a complete-game 9-inning victory over No. 25 Marian to eliminate the Knights from the league tournament. Marian came into the game ranked No. 5 in the NAIA in hits and team batting average, but Shipley handcuffed Marian to eight hits in nine innings, striking out six batters in the process. She also threw two scoreless outings in relief against St. Francis and Taylor (RV-NAIA).
