Shea Coats was named the co-MVP of the NCCAA Central Region softball tournament after going 2-0 in the circle with a pair of dominating performances. She didn't allow an earned run as OC downed top-seeded Mid-America Christian 9-3 in a five-inning, rain-shortened game, then tossed a complete-game, two-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts as the Eagles beat Oklahoma Wesleyan 7-0 in the tournament championship game. Coats has thrown 20 complete games and eight shutouts this season while posting a 1.77 ERA entering this week's NCCAA Championship.
