From Liberty Hill, Texas, Taylor Russell, a 5'10" senior playing center for the War Hawks, had an outstanding week all the way around, as McMurry split a pair of games. Russell averaged a double-double of 21.0 points and 12.5 rebounds, as well as 5.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game. She shot 41.7% from the floor (10-24) and 78.6% from the free throw line (22-28). Russell equaled her career high with 17 rebounds versus Louisiana College and also scored the game-winning points in overtime of that game. On the year, she has three double-doubles in 5 games played, despite usually matching up versus taller players.
