CJ Lloyd helped the Eagles start the year 2-0, going a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles action in University of Northwestern’s season-opening matches. Against Milwaukee School of Engineering, Lloyd, a sophomore from Shoreview, Minnesota, won in singles 6-2, 6-4 and doubles 8-5. Lloyd followed that up with a singles victory of 6-1, 6-1 and doubles 8-0 vs. North Central University. Lloyd played at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Eagles.
