Bryon Miller averaged 19.0 points per game, 9.5 rebounds per game, and shot 53.8 percent from the floor in helping the Mid-America Christian University Evangels advance to the semifinals of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament. Miller, a senior forward from Mesquite, Texas, had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds in an 86-81 win at SAGU, including a go-ahead four-point play with 45 seconds left after SAGU had taken a three-point lead. Miller then scored a team-high 20 points with 8 boards in a 92-87 loss to eventual tourney champ Wayland Baptist University.
