Bryon Miller, a senior from Mesquite, Texas, averaged 21.3 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game to lead the Mid-America Christian University Evangels to their first ever NAIA Fab Four appearance. Miller scored 26 points with 8 boards in an opening round victory before scoring 21 in an 88-80 win over top seeded Biola University, which snapped Biola's NAIA best 11 game winning streak. Miller then recorded a double-double of 17 points and 11 boards as the Evangels defeated Cumberlands (KY) 77-73 in the NAIA quarterfinals.
