Brad Foster, a junior from Bremen, Indiana, was a key contributor to Bethel’s 5-4 victory over Trine University. At the no. 3 doubles position, Foster and Bobby Eberle rallied for a 9-8 win, giving the Pilots a 2-1 lead heading into singles action. At no. 5 singles, Foster dropped his first set (2-6), but recovered to win the second (7-5). This set up a third set tie-breaker which would be pivotal in deciding the overall team match. Trailing 8-7 in the tie-breaker, Foster won the next 3 points to win the set (10-8) and the match, giving the Pilots a much needed point on their way to the 5-4 team victory.
