LaNissa Burns, a senior from Austin, Texas, won the hammer throw at the ASU David Noble Relays with a career best heave of 48.00m, also claiming the no. 1 ranking in the NCCAA. Burns also placed second in the discus with a distance of 43.78m and fifth in the shot put with a distance of 13.00m, being bested by only NCAA DII competitors. With this hammer throw along with previous shot put and discus performances, Burns is now ranked no. 1 in all 3 events in the NCCAA.
