LaNissa Burns regained control of the NCCAA’s top spot in the shot put and discus at the American Southwest Conference Championships. The senior from Austin, Texas won the shot put with a distance of 13.75m and won the discus with a distance of 47.91m. Burns took second in the hammer and remains no. 1 in the NCCAA with her distance of 53.71m. Burns’ shot put and hammer performances also broke school records.
