With McMurry University facing a “must-sweep” three-game series against University of the Ozarks to qualify for the NCCAA Regional Playoff, Ty Kirk had his best series of the year and propelled the War Hawks to the needed sweep and playoff berth. The sophomore from Jacksboro, Texas batted .636 with 7 hits including 2 doubles and a home run. Kirk had an on-base average of .615, a slugging percentage of 1.091, scored 6 runs, and drove in 7 RBI’s.
