Senior Jaylen Newman had two big games for the Trinity Bible College Lions, recording 2 double-doubles in wins over Association Free Lutheran Bible School (AFLBS). The Velva, North Dakota native recorded 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the Lions’ season opening 77-44 win. In the next game, Newman had 16 points, 19 rebounds, and 9 blocks in a 62-49 win. Newman averaged 24.5 points, 16.0 rebounds, and 6.0 blocks per game to help the Lions start the season 2-0.
