Maegan Cowan and Alyssa Figueroa are co-Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of January 14, 2013.
Maegan Cowan, sophomore sprinter from Oklahoma Christian University, led OC in the Missouri Southern Open Invitational in Joplin, Mo., on Friday and Saturday. Individually, Cowan finished fifth (among 23 runners) in the 400 meters in 1:01.75 and 11th (among 40 runners) in the 200 meters in 27.24 seconds. Cowan also runs on OC's 4x400-meter relay team, which opened its season by finishing fourth out of 11 squads in 4:11.61, trailing only a junior-college power and two NCAA Division II teams.
