Devontrae Young, a sophomore from Lawton, Oklahoma, won the 200 meters at the NCCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championship with the No. 2 time in the NCCAA (22.03) this season, setting a Kerr-Pegula Field House facility record in the process. Young also finished 11th in the 60m (7.12), led off the 4 x 200m relay that finished third (1:29.84), and was the third leg of the 4 x 400m (3:23.75) relay that took fifth at the national championship.
