Freshman Hayden Ashley was crowned the champion in the heptathlon at the NCCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championship with the No. 2 point total (4935) in the NCCAA this season, setting a Kerr-Pegula Field House facility record in the process. The native of Tulsa, Oklahoma took first in 3 of the 7 events, winning the 1000m, high jump, and shot put. Ashley also finished second in the pole vault (4.42m), setting the second-highest mark in the NCCAA this season. He also finished seventh in the high jump with a height of 1.83m.
