Megan DeWeerd, a junior from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, took 1st place in a field of 89 runners at the Fighting Saints Twilight Invite. DeWeerd’s time of 17:34 broke the previous school record (18:09) by more than 30 seconds and was more than a minute better than her personal best. Her 1st place finish helped the team finish 2nd overall.
