Barbora Bozkova, junior from Oklahoma Christian University, knocked off three-time D-2 South Central Regional champion (and No. 5-ranked) Julia Mongin of Abilene Christian (Texas) 6-1, 6-7, 10-5. Bozkova also breezed to singles wins against Lauren Renner (6-1, 6-1) of McMurry (Texas) and Mackenzie Knoop (6-3, 6-1) of Trinity (Texas), which is ranked No. 15 in NCAA Division III. Bozkova also won her doubles matches against McMurry and Trinity. Bozkova's only loss came in doubles play, as she and partner Angie Torres Quezada fell 8-5 to Mongin and Brittney Reed, the fifth-ranked duo in NCAA Division II. Individually, Bozkova went 5-1 on the week. As a team, OC beat McMurry 8-1 and Trinity 7-2 before falling to NCAA Division II No. 3-ranked Abilene Christian 8-1 (with Bozkova scoring the only team point with her upset of Mongin).
