Sydney Hill, freshman guard from Oklahoma Christian University, came off the bench and scored a career-high 29 points (25 of those after halftime) to lift OC past Heartland Conference champ Texas-Permian Basin 77-71 in overtime in the regular-season finale, ending UTPB's 13-game winning streak. She scored all of OC's points in a 12-4 run to start the second half that closed most of a 10-point deficit, hit a clutch 3-pointer in overtime that swung the momentum to OC, then hit the basket with 57 seconds left that put OC ahead for good, as well as two clutch free throws after that. Her 29 points against the conference's best team were the most by an OC player this season and she added four assists and six steals against a team that came into the game with a 19-5 record. Hill also had six points in an 86-43 rout of Oklahoma Panhandle State. For the week, Hill averaged 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 4.0 assists per game while shooting 13-of-27 from the field (48.1 percent), 3-of-8 from 3-point range (37.5 percent) and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line (75 percent).
