James Blackwell, sophomore from Cedarville University, established three personal bests and finished in 12th place at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championship held at the CrossPlex Complex. The sophomore from Clare, Mich. totaled 5,012 points - just 26 shy of his school record. He came into the meet ranked 12th in the country. On the final day, Blackwell opened with a PR in the 60 meter hurdles of 8.73 seconds and then cleared 4.70 meters (15-5) in the pole vault. He set another PR in the final event with a time of 2:51.56 in the 1,000 meter run. Blackwell started competition on opening day with a PR in the 60 meter dash of 7.34 seconds. He went 6.75m in the long jump (22-1.75), heaved the shot put 10.37m (34-0.25), and cleared 1.78m
