Lindsay Honea, junior from Point Loma Nazarene University, set a personal-best and the eighth-best total in Point Loma women's track & field history in the heptathlon with a total score of 4602 points. She won four of the events and placed second in two others to achieve her career-best total. Those 4602 points eclipsed her previous career-high of 4563 which she set last season at the NAIA Championships to place 14th and also put her at the top of the heptathlon scores for the NCCAA. Honea won all three events on Friday to win the even by 580 points over Concordia's Emily Ramey. Honea started the day by picking up 594 points in the long jump with a leap of 16-8.5 (5.09m). She then added 537 points in the javelin after recording a toss of 108-11 (33.19m) and 698 more in the 800m run with a time of 2:29.58. She came into the day in second place in the heptathlon with 2783 points. She won the high jump on day one, and placed second in both the shot put and 200m dash.
