Matt Brooker, senior from Cedarville University, set a new school record in the 10,000 meters with a runner-up time of 29:52.58 at the University of Cincinnati Open on Friday, March 29, 2013. Brooker took nearly 10 seconds off the old 10K record and is the first Yellow Jacket to ever break 30:00 in the event. The Yellow Jackets finished eighth out of 12 schools in the meet held in Cincinnati, Ohio. Brooker’s time was also #1 in the NCCAA.
