Roz Hamilton, junior from Oklahoma Christian University, led OC during the Heartland/McMurry Invitational, winning two events and scoring in six others in the de facto conference championship meet. She personally accounted for a whopping 58 of the Lady Eagles' 178 team points as they finished second. Hamilton beat 14 other runners to win the 800 meters (2:29.90) and also took top honors in the high jump (4 feet, 11 3/4 inches). She took second in both the javelin (96 feet, 7 inches) and 4x400-meter relay (4:06.71). She was third in both the long jump (16 feet, 6 1/2 inches) and shot put (38 feet, 8 3/4 inches) and was fourth in both the 100-meter hurdles (16.63 seconds) and discus (109 feet, 1 inch). She has qualified for the NCCAA Outdoor Championships in the 400 meters, 800 meters, 100-meter hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot put, discus, javelin and heptathlon.
