Jordan Lopez, sophomore outfielder from Oklahoma Christian University, earned tournament MVP honors as Oklahoma Christian won the NCCAA Central Region title, the program's first postseason championship in 41 years, and advance to the NCCAA World Series. OC went 3-1 in four tournament games, while Lopez batted .545 (6-for-11) with five RBIs, two doubles, a triple, a sacrifice fly and three walks and a hit-by-pitch, along with an impressive .909 slugging percentage and .625 on-base percentage. He played error-free baseball in the outfield, successfully handling all four of his chances. After losing to Central Baptist (Ark.) 2-0 in the tournament opener, the Eagles rebounded to beat Central Baptist 5-4, then beat Ecclesia (Ark.) 15-2 and 5-1 to complete a successful run through the losers' bracket.
