Belinda Weddle was a key part of University of Northwestern winning two conference matches and moving into first place in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference standings. After falling in singles and doubles against St. Kates College, Weddle bounced back and won at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-0 and No. 1 doubles win 8-1 against Martin Luther College. Weddle then won at No. 2 singles 1-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-6) and No. 1 doubles 8-7 (8-6) against The College of St. Scholastica.
