Dario Laing out of Columbia International University has improved his 60-meter hurdle time in each of the last three weeks, earning him his second NCCAA Track Student-Athlete of the week award in January. At the Camel City Invite, the sophomore from St. Catherine, Jamaica ran an 8.02 second 60-meter hurdle to improve to the fifth fastest time in the NAIA. Laing’s new personal best also serves as a school record, ranks first in the NCCAA, and is an NAIA A standard in the event. Laing also ran the 200-meter this past week and finished with a time of 23.61.
