Emery Maki finished first at the Falcon Heights Triangular Invite to help the University of Northwestern to a first-place finish among the three NCCAA schools in Minnesota. Maki finished with a time of 20:26 in the 5,000-meter in her debut in cross country. The sophomore from Hibbing, Minnesota has been a track star for Northwestern and has now taken her talents into the cross country season, earning her first Student-Athlete of the Week honor.
