Freshman Joey Carroll took the NCCAA cross country scene by storm in his collegiate debut, cruising to a 14:53.3 5,000-meter finish for Cedarville University at the Wright State Classic. Behind Carroll’s performance, Cedarville would finish fourth out of eight teams in competition, including three NCAA Division I opponents. The native of Hebron, Kentucky finished second individually in the race, only running a slower time than an unattached individual athlete.
