Dominic Malel ran the fastest debut for a freshman at Campbellsville University this past week with a mark of 24:49 flat in the Larry Young Invitational 8,000-meter. Malel finished second individually out of 218 runners and led the Tigers to a second-place team finish with his time. Malel also averaged a 4:59.5-mile pace in his collegiate debut.
