Freshman Austin Melvin vaulted his way to a first-place finish and a school record for Roberts Wesleyan University this past weekend. Melvin recorded a mark of 5.06-meters in the pole vault at the Brockport Rust Buster Invite to take over the top mark in the NCCAA. The native of Central Square, New York also ranks sixth among all athletes in NCAA Division II with the new personal best. Melvin continues the strong history of Roberts Wesleyan pole vaulters with the new school record.
