Kyndal Murphy was stellar in the circle for Arlington Baptist University pitching into extra innings against NAIA Graceland University. Murphy gave up just three runs, with zero earned runs, as she struck out seven in an unfortunate 3-1 extra innings loss to open the season. The graduate student from Willis, Texas gave up 10 hits but got out of jams in every inning to keep the Patriots in the game throughout. Arlington Baptist starts the year 1-1 with a split against Graceland.
