Dominic Malel did not let the wind and rain stop him at the Jum Vargo Bellarmine Invatational this past weekend, highlighting a strong weekend for Campbellsville University with a school record. Malel competed in the 10,000m and recorded a time of 31:13.92 to earn a new Tiger school record in the event. The mark is 22 seconds faster than the previous school record and helped him win the event. The freshman from Kenya ranks first in the NCCAA in the event as well, sitting 38 seconds faster than the next best time.
