In the first NCCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week awards, Sam Dillard of Kuyper College earned the honor after averaging 20.33 points per game. The Cougars would go 2-1 on the opening week of the season with wins over Free Lutheran Bible College and Oak Hills Christian College. Dillard recorded a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds against Oak Hills Christian College and scored 20+ points in each of the other two games this week. Dillard shot nearly 50% on the week and was solid from behind the arc as well with a 35.0% three-point percentage.
