Damon Werts eclipsed 1000 career points this week in a phenomenal effort for Kansas Christian College. Werts averaged a double-double with 28.5 points per game and 12 rebounds per game in a pair of wins over Union Adventist University and Randall University. At Randall on Saturday, Werts scored his 1000th career point to join an elite group of Falcons to earn the honor. The native of Chesapeake, Virgina shot the lights out this week as well, going 25-for-42 from the field for a 60% clip. The two wins help Kansas Christian move back to .500 in the early season at 2-2 overall.
