David Helms set new personal records in both the 3,000-meter race and the mile for Lancaster Bible College this past weekend. Helms ran a mark of 9:00.47 in the Lebanon Valley College Invitational 3,000-meter to finish first in the event and rank third in the NCCAA. The junior from Lancaster, Pennsylvania hit 4:34.04 in the mile to finish third in the event and ranks third in the NCCAA. Helms has been one of the best distance runners in the country this season, ranking first in NCCAA Division III United East Conference for the mile, 3,000-meter, and 5,000-meter.
