Mia Gray earned her first event championship of the 2025-26 indoor track & field season for Wayland Baptist University, winning the Friends University First Chance Qualifier shot put with a mark of 13.08-meters. The sophomore from Sunray, Texas moves to first in the NCCAA this season with the throw and now ranks ninth in the NAIA. Gray earned an NCCAA Indoor Track & Field qualifying mark with the throw as well with the championships just over a month away.
