Matt Shaeckenbach had a historic week for Cedarville University at their home invitational, breaking a 27-year-old record in the high jump. The junior from Iowa City, Iowa cleared 2.14 meters to win the event and secure a .1-meter gap for first in the NCCAA. Schaeckenbach also ranks tied for fifth in the high jump among NCAA Division II athletes. Outside of his field performance, Schaeckenbach earned the best mark in the NCCAA for the 60-meter hurdles with a school record time of 8.04 seconds.
