Nathan Simmons highlighted a strong pitching performance with nine strikeouts in six innings pitched to give Nelson University American Indian College a win against Embry-Riddle University. Simmons did not allow an earned run and was consistently able to get out of jams, striking out two batters with two on in the fourth before later striking out the side in the fifth. The senior from Castle Rock, Colorado also only walked one batter to earn the win and give the Warriors their third victory of the season.
